Main tasks and functions:

• The railway transport and logistics department functionally manages and supervises activities: Industrial Railway Transport Administration (IRTA); Railway Shop of Sherabad Cement Plant; Railway Shop of Jizzakh Cement Plant; Railway sidings of the plant’s subdivisions.
• Organization of smooth work of railway transport departments, effective use of locomotives, cars and other railway rolling stock.
• Development and improvement of transportation facilities of the plant’s subdivisions and railway sidings, provision of railway transportation services to the “Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex” JSC.
• The rational use of electricity, fuel and lubricants and technical means of railway transport.
• Increasing the productivity of transport vehicles and reducing the cost of production through maximum use of internal reserves, measures aimed at reducing the downtime of cars of the fleet of “Uzbekistan Temir Yullari” JSC and CIS under freight operations.
• Control of operation of the GPS navigation and fuel monitoring system of railway vehicles.
• Implementation of control of stock balances of railway transportation departments.
• Controlling the provision of transport departments, subdivisions of the complex, that own the access railroads with spare parts, basic technological equipment and machinery.
• Development of optimal logistics routes and changes to existing ones.
• Together with the heads of transport departments develops quarterly, monthly and annual production plans.
• Together with the services of the complex develops plans for the prospective development of railway transport processes, mechanization of unloading operations.
• Together with the heads of transport departments develops organizational and technical measures to ensure sustainable operation of the departments, railway sidings of subdivisions of the mill and monitors the implementation of the planned organizational and technical measures in due time.
• Develops measures to improve the efficiency of railway vehicles, increase the productivity of freight transportation, increase the coefficient of utilization of vehicles and mechanisms, reduce the cost of transportation.
• Supervises capital construction in the transport departments, on the railway sidings of the complex subdivisions, supervises the implementation of repair schedules for rolling stock, railroad tracks and the entire railway infrastructure.
• Provides structural subdivisions with wagons of “Uzbekistan Temir Yullari” JSC and CIS fleet, according to the schedule of shipment of finished products.
