EnThe history of the Trade Union of JSC "Almalyk MMC"
The Trade Union of AGMK employees carries out its activity from the date of foundation of the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex. It unites workers related by common social, labor and professional interests, by the nature of their activities, working in both production and non-production areas, students and not working pensioners as well.
The Trade Union of AMMC carries out its activities in accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Labor and Civil Codes and the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “Regarding Trade Unions, Rights and Guarantees of their Activities”, as well as on the basis of legal regulations governing the activities of non-governmental non-profit organizations, the Articles of the Federation of Trade Unions Of Uzbekistan, the Articles of the Trade Union of workers of the plant, the Collective Agreement of JSC Almalyk MMC.
The Supreme Body of the AMMC Trade Union is the Conference, which is convened once every 5 years. The Trade Union Council manages the union activities between the conferences. Members of the Council are elected at the Conference of the trade union of workers of the plant.
On November 29, 2011, the Governing Body - the AMMC Trade Union Committee was transformed into the Trade Union Council, the organizational design of which was completed on December 30, 2012, by adopting its Articles.
In order to strengthen the social and economic protection of Trade Union members the labor safety committee, youth development committee, women’s committee, culture and spirituality, sports and recreation committee, and housing issues committee have been established by the Trade Union Council.
One of the most important functions of the trade union is the strengthening of social partnership, participation in the work of regulating social, economic and labor relations. Currently, there is a Collective Agreement concluded for 2017-2019.
The structure of the AMMC Trade Union includes 41 primary Trade Union organizations, numbering more than 48 200 people in their ranks.
