+998 71 619 23 33In accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, aimed at the priority development of manufacturing enterprises, meeting the wide-ranging needs of the population, and ensuring the stability and priority of domestic consumer goods in the local market, the Consumer Goods Production Department (CGPD) was established by the decision of the Board of Directors of the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex (AMMC) on November 15, 1994.
The creation of the CGPD was an important step for the management of the complex and the city of Almalyk, allowing the solution of two key objectives: creating additional jobs and increasing employment opportunities for the population.
The department functions as one of the auxiliary units of the complex and includes the following workshops and sections:
Sewing Workshop
Serves the internal needs of the complex’s divisions by providing workwear for employees. It also produces pillows, blankets, car covers, and other essential textile products.
Polyethylene Products Workshop
Manufactures polyethylene bags, sacks, and pipes of various sizes for the needs of the complex. The production uses LDPE granules supplied by Shurtan Gas-Chemical Complex “Shurtangaz”.
Dairy Farm
Built and commissioned in January 1995, the modern dairy farm supplies the employees of the complex and city residents with high-quality dairy products: cream, kefir, packaged milk, butter, and more.
Biohumus Production Section
Produces organic fertilizer — biohumus — using Californian red worms. The products are used for landscaping and greening of the complex’s territories.
Home-Based Work Section
Operating since 2006, primarily employs seamstresses, including people with disabilities and citizens requiring social support. They focus on sewing workwear for the internal needs of the complex.
Agricultural Production and Feed Preparation Section
Established in March 2007, it provides feed (alfalfa, corn, triticale, wheat) for the dairy farm and cultivates vegetables and melons (cucumbers, watermelons, melons) for the employees and residents of the city.
Recreation Area “Kizil-oy”
Founded in 2005 and covering 53 hectares, the area specializes in fish farming (silver carp, common carp), providing employees with quality and affordable fish products. Active development of intensive aquaculture is underway.
Trade Bureau
The department oversees seven retail points located within the complex’s units. They sell dairy farm products as well as agricultural goods.
