In modern industrial enterprises, electricity is a decisive factor for stable operations. This is especially true in metallurgical sectors with complex, multi-stage technological processes, where reliable energy supply ensures not only production efficiency but also the continuity and safety of the entire system.

Copper Concentrator Plant-3, part of “Almalyk MMC” JSC, is recognized as one of the largest strategically important industrial facilities in Uzbekistan in terms of power supply. The plant primarily receives electricity from the Uzbekistan National Power Grid, with capacities supplied from the “Yangi Angren” and “Sirdaryo” power plants. This energy is transmitted uninterruptedly to the plant through the “Tuket” 500/110 kV substation and the 8^th 110/110/5 kV substation via overhead power lines.

To ensure stable operation of all technological processes, the plant has three 110/10 kV and one 35/10 kV main step-down substations, which feed eight 100 MVA, two 63 MVA, and two 16 MVA power transformers. These transformers provide both the main and auxiliary production units with 0.4 kV and 10 kV electricity, enabling continuous operation of all processes.

The plant’s power supply is centrally monitored through an automated dispatch control system – the Energy Power Management System. This modern solution minimizes human error, prevents energy overconsumption, and allows continuous monitoring of power lines and equipment status. As a result, operational safety is enhanced, unplanned shutdowns are reduced, and high efficiency is maintained.

At Copper Concentrator Plant-3, establishing a modern and reliable power supply is not merely a technical necessity but also a strategic factor. High-capacity crushing and flotation equipment, pumps, automated control systems, and numerous other technological devices cannot operate without stable electricity. Therefore, power supply is viewed as a guarantee of production safety, economic stability, and product quality.
