On February 24, 2026, the international rating agency Sustainable Fitch reaffirmed the Entity Rating of Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex (AMMC) at level “3”, while increasing the company’s overall entity score from 56 to 59 points.

The positive rating dynamics reflect AMMC’s consistent efforts to enhance its sustainable development strategy and the progress achieved in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) areas. The agency noted that the company has made significant progress in addressing environmental challenges typical of the mining and metallurgical industry.

The experts at Sustainable Fitch also highlighted AMMC’s strong corporate governance, an effective risk management system, full compliance with tax obligations, and a low level of staff turnover.

The rating upgrade demonstrates the high effectiveness of the measures implemented by the company to improve its ESG performance, even given the complex nature of the mining and metallurgical sector.
