AMMC: The Lime Plant completes its production target ahead of schedule

09 December 2025, 15:6 261

Structural divisions of the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex continue to successfully fulfill their annual business plan targets ahead of schedule.

In particular, the Lime Plant’s workforce accomplished its assigned target for 2025 as early as December 8.

The plant produced 139,815 tons of lime, fully meeting its planned target at 100% completion.

According to specialists, the key factor behind this achievement is the introduction of new technology in the second line of the rotary kiln system. The new technology has allowed for significant natural gas savings and increased production volumes. In addition, the stable operation of the plant’s technological equipment has also played a major role in reaching these production milestones.

For reference, lime is an essential reagent in ore beneficiation. AMMC’s beneficiation plants make extensive use of it. Lime is also used in the Zinc and Copper-Smelting Plants for neutralization in sulfuric acid production.

On February 14 of 2025, the second line of the rotary kiln system was commissioned at the Lime Plant, resulting in increased lime production capacity.

Furthermore, on February 25 of this year, construction of a new lime plant was launched in Forish district in Jizzakh region under the “Development of the Yoshlik-I mine” investment project.
