“Woman is a symbol of justice and progress”

On February 19 of this year, a spiritual and educational event themed “Woman – a symbol of justice and progress” was held in collaboration with the Adolat Social Democratic Party and the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex.

The event was attended by the Chairman of the Political Council of the Adolat Social Democratic Party, the head of the parliamentary leader in the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, Robakhon Makhmudova, representatives of the Tashkent Regional Council of the party, the editor-in-chief of the socio-political newspaper Adolat, Islom Khamraev, as well as advisor to the Chairman of the Board of Almalyk MMC JSC, Kamola Umaralieva.

As part of the event, guests first became acquainted with the activities of the Metallurg Palace of Culture and the Suyurlitepa Yodgorligi Museum.

The next stop on the visit was Copper Concentrator No. 3, built as part of a major investment project being implemented at the Complex. Party representatives visited the central supervisory control centre, the coarse ore warehouse, the medium and fine crushing buildings, etc.

During her visit, Robakhon Makhmudova spoke with the factory workers and sincerely wished them success in their responsible and challenging work in the industrial sector.

The party delegation also visited the football academy at FC “OKMK”. The guests were shown the modern building and infrastructure created with the Complex sponsorship. The party leader spoke with the academy students, inquired about their plans, and shared her recommendations with them, emphasizing that only bold action toward a goal allows a person to realize their dreams.

In the afternoon, party activists met with workers at the copper complex. During the open dialogue, issues of social protection for women, the creation of decent working conditions, ensuring stable employment, and expanding opportunities for professional growth were discussed.

As noted, women’s participation in key sectors of the economy not only increases production efficiency but also strengthens the principles of social justice in society. Moreover, strengthening cooperation with industrial enterprises is an important factor in the implementation of the priority areas outlined in the party’s election program.

During the meeting, proposals were put forward to improve the political and legal literacy of workforces, stimulate innovative approaches to production, and increase investment in human capital.

Addressing the meeting participants, Robakhon Makhmudova emphasized that women’s economic independence and professional growth are key factors in the sustainable development of the state and society.

“When a woman works and actively participates in society, her self-confidence grows and her family becomes more stable”, noted Robakhon Makhmudova. - A strong family is the backbone of a strong society. Our long-standing cooperation with the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex is no coincidence. The Complex thousands-strong team includes modern Tomirises like you - professionals, goal-oriented, and dedicated to their work. The party consistently supports women who work in this difficult and responsible industry.

At the end of the event, 50 active female workers who expressed a desire to join the party were accepted as members of the Adolat Social Democratic Party, and a primary party organization was created at the Complex.

On the same day, party representatives visited the engineering school and became familiar with its activities in detail. The delegation also visited preschool educational organization No. 39 “Oltin Beshik” (“Golden Cradle”) of the Department of Social Facilities. After inspecting the conditions created for children, the guests noted that the Complex also provides high-quality social protection for workers.
