On August 22 of this year, the seminar on the topic “Design of single-stage gearboxes” was organized at the Almalyk branch of NUST MISiS in the field of mechanics.

The seminar was conducted by Abdurauf Mirzakarimov, a senior lecturer at the Almalyk branch of NUST MISiS.

The seminar was attended by mechanics, electromechanics, plumbers, section foremen, and welders working in the structural divisions of the combine.

The seminar also provided information on topics such as the concept and importance of a gearbox, its main tasks, areas of application of a single-stage gearbox, its main types, cylindrical and bevel gearboxes, their advantages and disadvantages, the basic calculation process, determining power, turning time, and rotation speed.

In addition, the participants received information on the concept and calculation of the gear ratio, the basics of gear design, tooth module, number and geometry of teeth, material selection (steel, cast iron, etc.), strength and reliability, bearing and shaft selection, shaft diameter calculation, bearing types and placement. In short, the specialists working in the mechanical direction of the plant further enriched their knowledge at the seminar.
