Fighting Corruption Is a Crucial Step for the Future of Society

18 September 2025, 12:20 272

Corruption is an immoral practice that negatively affects all spheres of society. It slows economic growth, increases social inequality, erodes trust in state institutions, and hinders overall development. That is why combating corruption must be a priority for every country and society.

In this process, it is essential to strengthen public oversight, enhance the role of mass media and civil society institutions, expand opportunities for citizens to report corruption cases, increase legal awareness among the population, and foster intolerance toward corruption among the younger generation.

To this end, the Compliance Service of the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex (AMMC) has developed a set of measures and is actively implementing them in cooperation with partner organizations. For example, in Almalyk city alone, 21 corruption-related crimes were recorded in the first eight months of this year. Thanks to preventive work carried out jointly with law enforcement agencies, the number of bribery and fraud incidents within AMMC’s central office and structural units has significantly decreased.

Specifically, during the first eight months of 2024, five cases of bribery and fraud involving citizens were registered. In contrast, for the same period of 2025, only one such case was recorded.

Most of these crimes involved fraudulent individuals who promised employment at AMMC in exchange for money, then used the funds for personal purposes.

For instance, in June 2024, citizen A.B. (born in 1997), who worked as a driver for Enter Engineering Pte. LTD, fraudulently took 800 USD from citizen B.S., promising employment. Later, in November, he continued his illicit actions by taking another 800 USD from citizen D.R.

To avoid becoming victims of such crimes, citizens are strongly advised to remain vigilant and obtain information about vacancies within AMMC only through its official website and Telegram channel. Applications for vacancies must be submitted along with a CV and required documents to the official addresses specified in job announcements.

In summary, fighting corruption is not only the responsibility of the state, but also the moral duty of every conscientious, honest, and patriotic citizen. Only through joint efforts can we combat corruption and build a just and prosperous society.

Each of us must contribute to this fight to ensure a fair future and leave an honest legacy for the next generations — for our children and beloved grandchildren.

Citizens and AMMC employees are encouraged to report any corruption-related cases through the following official channels of the Compliance Service:
