The waste collection shop of the Copper Processing Plant-3 is an integral part of the production process, and its main task is to safely dispose of waste, transport it to storage facilities via a hydrotransport system, and provide it with circulating water. This shop guarantees not only the uninterrupted operation of production, but also environmental safety.

The shop consists of a complex of hydraulic structures and operates two large waste dumps – Chart 1 (1420 hectares) and Chart 2 (1380 hectares). The tailings coming from the crushing and flotation shop are transferred to the mine through main pipelines with a diameter of 1220–1620 mm using modern Warman-750 MCR pumps. The presence of working and standby lines ensures the continuous operation of the system.

These lines are equipped with high-performance V-FLO, ROITECH and WEIR pumps, as well as an emergency pond with a capacity of 16,100 m³ for emergencies. Floating pumping stations in the circulating water supply system return up to 12,000 m³ of water to the plant per hour. This significantly reduces fresh water consumption and allows for the economical use of water resources. Wells with a depth of 50 meters and a drainage system are used to retain filtration fluids.

The sludge pumping station is equipped with radar-type level meters, pH meters, electromagnetic flow meters, pressure sensors and electro-pulse valves. This high-precision equipment provides constant, accurate and reliable control over the quantity and quality of effluents. This is of great importance for the safe management of waste, maintaining continuity in the production process, rational use of water and resources, and ensuring environmental safety.

The waste collection shop reduces the harmful impact of waste on the environment, conserves natural resources by recycling water resources, and organizes industrial waste management in accordance with international environmental standards. This process plays an important role in protecting water and land resources, maintaining the stability of biological systems, and improving the local ecological situation.

This shop ensures the continuous and efficient operation of the CPP-3, guarantees the uninterrupted operation of equipment and hydraulic systems. This not only increases the overall efficiency of the production process, but also creates the opportunity to economically use energy and resources, and at the same time contributes to the economic stability of the enterprise.
