Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Combine is systematically working to improve energy efficiency and rational use of fuel and energy resources.

Particularly significant results were achieved at the copper processing plant. In the first half of this year, a set of organizational and technical measures was successfully implemented here aimed at reducing production costs, optimizing production processes and leveling the load during peak energy consumption hours – in the morning and evening. All these measures made it possible to achieve significant energy savings.

Thus, in the first half of the year, 32,042,585 kilowatt-hours of electricity, 1,964,931 cubic meters of natural gas, over 8.4 thousand Gcal of thermal energy, as well as more than 6.6 million cubic meters of industrial water were saved. These figures clearly demonstrate the effectiveness of the policy and its significant contribution to the sustainable development of the plant.

Work in this direction continues: energy-saving technologies are also being introduced in other structural divisions of AMMC, the level of automation is being increased, and production processes are being optimized.
