+998 71 619 23 33On March 4 of this year, a seminar was held at Copper Concentrator No. 2 to mark Fire Prevention Day. The event was themed: “Prevention of emergency situations and ensuring of fire safety is a priority”.
The seminar was attended by A. Akhrorov, Head of the Fire Safety Department at the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex; B. Abdulkosimov, Deputy Commander of the Civil Defense Detachment for Fire Safety; I. Matmusaev, Chief Engineer of Copper Concentrator-2; and I. Turgunbaev, Acting Deputy Head of the plant for Inventory Management and Safety.
The main goal of the seminar is to enhance the skills of managers and members of the volunteer fire brigade in making the right decisions when fires and fire outbreaks occur, their ability to quickly assess the situation, and competently organize rescue operations to eliminate the consequences of emergency situations.
In industry, safety is not just a requirement, but a daily responsibility of every manager and employee.
Most emergencies occur due to human factor, technical malfunctions or failure to comply with safety regulations. Therefore, our main task is to identify potential risks in advance, assess them correctly, and eliminate them promptly.
Fire is one of the emergency situations that pose a serious threat to the life and health of people, their property, and the environment. Statistics show that the main causes of fires are most often the improper use of electrical equipment, careless handling of open fires, gas appliances left unattended, and failure to comply with safety requirements.
This is why prevention of emergency situations is a priority for every citizen, as well as for any business or organization. Ensuring of fire safety includes several key areas:
Regular preventive measures include technical inspections of electrical networks and equipment in buildings and monitoring of serviceability of fire extinguishing equipment.
Training of employees and citizens – development of skills for correct actions in the event of a fire, familiarization with evacuation plans.
Strict adherence to fire safety regulations means compliance with established standards in both industrial and domestic processes.
The use of modern warning and alarm systems – timely warning plays a key role in saving people’s lives.
- Prevention of emergency situations is not only about taking the right actions during a fire, but above all about elimination of the causes of its occurrence. If each of us follows basic safety rules, many incidents can be avoided. It is important to remember that industrial discipline and compliance with safety requirements protect not only the property of the enterprise, but, above all, the lives and health of people. Safety is the responsibility of each of us, and prevention of emergencies must always remain our top priority, noted A. Akhrorov.
