04 May 2026, 10:49 358

Preventive measures, carried out under the motto: "Let's Make Our Complex a Corruption-Free Zone!", continue to be regularly implemented at Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex's structural divisions.

Another regular meeting was held at the Handiza Mine Administration. Gulnoza Sabriyeva, the Compliance Department specialist, participated in the event, and had given a detailed explanation of the nature of corruption, its threat to the society, and the work carried out in the country and at the Complex to combat this negative phenomenon.

"Corruption undermines the foundations of democracy and the rule of law, reduces public trust in the government institutions, and leads to human rights violations. It hinders the development of market economy and fair competition, and promotes the monopolization of certain sectors and activities. Corruption creates conditions for misappropriation of budget funds, worsens the quality of life, exacerbates social inequality, and leads to the increase in the number of low-income citizens. Furthermore, it creates a favorable environment for organized crime, terrorism and other offenses," noted Gulnoza Sabrieva.

During the event, the participants were also provided with detailed information about the activities of the AMMC compliance department and the measures implemented as part of the company's anti-corruption policy. Particular attention was paid to the importance of promptly reporting of corruption and suspicious activities.

If you have encountered corruption or witnessed questionable actions, you can report it through the following communication channels. The confidentiality of informer is fully guaranteed:

Fighting corruption is not the responsibility of a single department, but the civic duty of every employee. The engagement and principled position of each employee serve to strengthen fairness, transparency, and the further development of Complex.

As a reminder, similar preventative measures are planned for all structural divisions of the Complex. The meetings will address topics such as preventing and resolving conflicts of interest, preventing and combating corruption, and the objectives outlined in the Address of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Nation and the Oliy Majlis dated 26 December 2025.
