10 September 2025, 9:20 944

Effective measures are being implemented at the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex (AMMC) to combat corruption. In particular, regular specialized training courses are being held to strengthen employees’ resistance to corruption and enhance their knowledge and practical skills in this area.

According to AMMC’s directive “On Improving Employee Qualifications,” a special training program on “Combating Corruption and Managing Conflicts of Interest” is currently being conducted for company personnel.

In September, two groups totaling 66 employees participated in the program, and in October, a third group of 33 employees is scheduled to take part.

The training sessions are conducted by instructors from the Center for the Professional Development of Lawyers under the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Participants attend the sessions full-time, and upon completion, they receive official certificates.

“During these courses, public servants gain essential knowledge on conflict of interest, anti-corruption measures, and ethical conduct,” said Associate Professor Rafik Shakurov, Candidate of Legal Sciences at the Center for the Professional Development of Lawyers. “Based on the principle of a ‘vaccine of integrity,’ the program aims to build complete intolerance toward corruption. The sessions cover the concept and types of corruption, achievements in combating it nationwide, issues of legal responsibility, as well as the consequences of violating ethical norms and failing to disclose conflicts of interest.”
