Reliable Warehouse – Lower Expenses

17 July 2025, 8:28 971

As is known, during mining operations in underground mines, blasting operations are used to lay mine drifts and open new faces. To perform them, explosives are delivered directly to the mine.

Safe storage and transportation of these materials requires significant financial costs.

In order to reduce costs, save financial resources and reduce the cost of manufactured products, construction of an underground warehouse for storing explosives has begun in the 43rd drift of the Guzaksay mine of the Chadak Mine Administration.

The design cost of this facility, aimed at improving the storage conditions for explosives, is 3 billion 294.2 million UZS. The new warehouse is designed to safely store 20 tons of explosives, while the capacity of the old storage was only 3 tons.

The warehouse is being built at a depth of 400 meters. The project was developed by the design work department, and construction work is being carried out by the Chadak mine administration itself.

According to the head of the drilling, blasting and ventilation works section of the Guzaksay mine, Maksudali Nasriddinova, to date, mining operations have already been completed in the volume of 3,104 cubic meters, and construction and installation works are currently actively continuing.

The project provides for the execution of 500 cubic meters of concrete works, of which 250 cubic meters have already been completed. The warehouse is also being lined with monolithic concrete, as envisaged by the project.

The commissioning of the underground warehouse is scheduled for the end of 2025.
