New Technology – New Horizons

25 February 2026, 8:3 532

As previously reported, in 2025, as part of the investment project for the development of the Yoshlik I deposit, the fleet of the technological transport department was replenished with five modern HITACHI EH4000AC-3 quarry dump trucks.

Today, the Complex is assembling the next batch of these giants. Two machines arrived disassembled, and they are planned to be assembled within the established timeframe through the joint efforts of Complex specialists and HITACHI representatives.

According to experts, it was at the Yoshlik I deposit that these modern dump trucks were first put into operation in Uzbekistan. This equipment plays a key role in achieving of production targets and ensures efficient ore transportation.

The machines, manufactured using Japanese technology, have a lifting capacity of approximately 220 tons. The driver’s cabin provides all the conditions for comfortable and safe work. The control system is fully automated and meets modern requirements: electronic solutions allow for easy and effortless operation of the equipment.

The dump trucks are equipped with a powerful Cummins internal combustion engine, which increases their productivity and provides additional advantages when working with heavy loads. A reinforced frame and durable support structures have an obvious advantage over their analogues. To ensure complete control of the surrounding environment, a 360-degree video surveillance system has been installed.

The traction system includes a modern generator and electric traction motors, which significantly facilitates operation and increases the efficiency of the equipment. The dump trucks are equipped with a slip prevention system, longitudinal stabilization, lateral displacement protection, an electrodynamic braking system, automatic speed control, and a function for maintenance of a set speed even when driving downhill.

The installed LiDAR safety system, which many other quarry trucks do not have, deserves special attention. It promptly warns the driver of danger and helps to prevent possible emergency situations. In addition, two monitors are located on the sides of the cabin, allowing to monitor the volume of loaded material and prevent both overloading and underloading of the machine.

For 137 UTT drivers, company specialists organized special professional courses on the management and proper operation of this equipment.

Currently, five HITACHI EH4000AC-3 dump trucks are already operating at the Yoshlik I mine. Delivery of three more such vehicles is expected in the future.

In addition, 54 quarry dump trucks with a carrying capacity of 130 tons and 29 BelAZ vehicles with a carrying capacity of 220 tons were purchased and put into operation in 2017-2020 to transport rock mass to Yoshlik I.

In 2024, five NMT-240 dump trucks with the loading capacity of 236 tons were produced and delivered to Uzbekistan as part of the Localization Program. Today, these heavy machines are also used for transportation of rock mass.
