As you know, every year the second Sunday of August is celebrated in our country as the Day of Construction Workers of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

In connection with this date, the festive event was organized today in the “Tajmahal” festive complex in our town.

At the beginning of the event, Sa’di Shermatov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of JSC “Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Combine”, spoke and sincerely congratulated the creators of the combine. He noted that the builders of the combine are active not only in the construction of industrial facilities, but also in the construction of social facilities.

In connection with the Day of Construction Workers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, by order of the Chairman of the Board of AMMC Abdulla Khursanov, 3 representatives of the sector were awarded the “Mining Glory” badge of various degrees.

In addition, 19 builders were awarded the Honorary Label, and 42 were awarded valuable gifts.

The concert program prepared by the artistic groups of the “Metallurg” Palace of Culture brought a festive mood to everyone.

For your information, today the plant operates such departments related to the construction sector as the Investment and Capital Construction Department, the Capital Construction Department, the Project Works Department, the Specialized Repair Works Department, and Olmaliqmеtallurgqurilish Trust.

The Combine’s builders are currently reconstructing the “Dukent” Palace of Culture in Angren. A sanatorium is being built for the Combine’s employees in the Zaamin district of Jizzakh region.

In addition, the plant's builders are actively participating in the construction of Sulfuric Acid Shop No. 6 at the Zinc Plant. The construction of a new Gold Sorting Plant, which is being built on the basis of the “Kovuldi” mine, is also being carried out by the builders of the Combine.

It is worth noting that the Specialized Repair Works Department is carrying out the most complex parts of the assembly and installation work of process equipment at the plant facilities in order to accelerate the commissioning of the newly built Copper Processing Plant-3.
