In recent years, “Almalyk MMC” JSC has been paying great attention to children's football. In particular, a football academy was established under the “OKMK” football team, and modern fields were built for the academy's students. Now, young players have the opportunity to live in a modern building, receive education and, in parallel, learn the secrets of football.

Today, the new building, reconstructed under the auspices of AMMC, was put into operation for the academy's students.

The opening ceremony of this facility was attended by Vice President of the Football Association of Uzbekistan Odil Akhmedov, Technical Director Gi Kiala, Director of the Football Academy named after A. Momunov in Osh, Kyrgyzstan Timur Abdullayev, First Vice President of the Tashkent Regional Football Association Askar Jadigerov, President of the PFC “OKMK” Abdulla Khursanov, famous football commentators Mirzahakim Tokhtamirzayev and Khairulla Hamidov, the veterans of football work of the Tashkent region, the coaches and young players.

Those who spoke at the event noted that the achievements achieved as a result of the attention paid to football today under the leadership of the head of our country, in particular, the fact that our national team won a ticket to the World Championship, are the result of reforms. In Almalyk, the attention paid to football by the Combine was also highly appreciated.

The former Vesna hotel was completely reconstructed by the contracting organization under the auspices of the AMMC for 8 months and brought into a modern look. The academy building is designed for 210 places, and a dormitory, kitchen, laundry and medical rooms were organized in the building for the academy's students.

The building, equipped with modern equipment, created opportunities for football players aged 7 to 19 not only to live and relax, but also to consolidate their knowledge. For this, 3 training rooms were also organized, where young football players learn English, improve their theoretical knowledge and get acquainted with video analysis of games.

Each room inside the building is decorated with pictures reflecting football life.

At the academy, 25 experienced coaches teach the secrets of football to young people using modern methodologies. In addition, English is also taught to trainees.

It is noteworthy that the AMMC football academy has become the fourth academy among the teams in Uzbekistan with dormitories in our country. For information, dormitories are available in the academies of the ‘Nasaf’, ‘Mash'al’ and ‘Bunyodkor’ football teams.

During the reconstruction, the building's hot and cold water and heating systems were completely updated. Fire safety and video surveillance systems were installed. The territory was landscaped and greened.

Most importantly, the academy has created ample opportunities for young people to regularly engage in sports and learn the secrets of football.

For your information, the academy is currently carrying out large-scale work under the leadership of the head of the children's and youth football development program Denis Khomutov. As a result of the work being carried out, this year the academy's 9 and 12-year-old teams won the main prize at the international tournament held in the neighboring Kyrgyz Republic. The 10-year-old team took third place. In addition, the academy's 13- and 14-year-old teams demonstrated their unrivaled performance in their age categories at the international tournament in Kazakhstan.

Currently, the academy operates teams from 9 to 19 years old. In total, about 300 teenagers and young people are learning the secrets of football.

The officials who spoke at the event emphasized that a solid foundation has been created for the professional development of the football academy's students, and said that in the future, world football stars will grow up from Almalyk.
