As we live in the age of technology, the use of advanced technologies in the development of each industry ultimately determines the development of the industry. Especially in recent years, effective results have been achieved as a result of the use of drones, or unmanned aerial vehicles, in many industries.

Now, the surveyors of Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Combine also carry out their work using drones.

This helps surveyors to quickly perform geodetic tasks and obtain high-precision data.

All conclusions and permits for the use of unmanned aerial vehicles have been obtained from the Center for Electromagnetic Compatibility, Uzaviation, and the Ministry of Defense. In addition, on August 19, 2025, in accordance with the contract concluded with “O‘zaeronavigatsiya”, a test flight was carried out for the first time over the territory of the 3rd copper enrichment plant.

In 2024, 9 surveyors and geodesists participated in short-term pilot operator training courses and gained practical skills in using drones.

Today, the surveying service at JSC “Almalyk MMC” coordinates surveying work at the enterprise. Currently, about 75 surveying engineers work in the surveying service of the Combine.
