Pursuant to Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated September 30, 2018 No. PP-3954 “On measures for the reconstruction and stabilization of production facilities of Almalyk MMC JSC”, a large-scale project is being implemented at the Copper Concentration Plant aimed at expanding production capacities and modernizing the process flows.

A new flotation mono-section No. 8 is currently under construction as part of the project. Work started at the beginning of this year, and currently excavation work is being actively carried out at the site by the Olmaliqmetallurgqurilish business entity. Design work is carried out by the capital construction and design work departments, as well as the production automation department.

The project also includes the installation of modern pumping equipment, additional grinding mills and the creation of the necessary infrastructure. All this will make it possible to form a single continuous processing chain and increase production efficiency.

In general, upon completion of the project, it is planned to increase the annual processing capacity of the Copper Concentration Plant to 45 million tons, as well as create new jobs. The commissioning of flotation mono-section No. 8 is scheduled for the end of the first quarter of 2027, which will create a solid foundation for further increase in ore processing volumes.
