On the eve of the Teacher and Mentor day, devoted educators and mentors – who have long carried the noble title of “teacher” – were once again honored for their tireless dedication and invaluable contribution.
To mark October 1 – Teacher and Mentor Day, a festive event was held today at the “Metallurg” Palace of Culture, where the invaluable role of teachers was celebrated with great respect.
The event brought together teachers from the Almalyk Polytechnic College, the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Technical College, the Almalyk State Technical Instute, and theMISiS Almalyk Branch, as well as employees of the AMMC Social Facilities Department, coaches and instructors in sports and the arts, representatives of the School and Preschool Education Department, and staff members of the AMMC Training Center and Engineering School.
An exhibition showcasing participants’ innovative projects and developments was also presented as part of the event.
Addressing the audience, Abdulla Khursanov, Chairman of the Board of “Almalyk MMC” JSC and a member of the Senate, warmly congratulated all teachers on their professional day. He highlighted that under the leadership of the Head of State, special attention and care are being given to educators across the country. He also noted AMMC has successfully formed an educational cluster in Almalyk, uniting kindergartens, schools, technical colleges, higher education institutions, an engineering school, and a training center.
To mark the occasion, by the order of the Chairman of the Board of “Almalyk MMC” JSC, six professionals were awarded Certificates of Honor, while eighteen others received valuable gifts in recognition of their dedicated service.
In addition, coaches who have trained athletes representing the complex and the country on national and international stages were also honored.
The concert program and stage performances prepared by the “Metallurg” Palace of Culture’s artistic groups added a festive atmosphere to the event.
For reference, 405 educators are currently employed at 15 preschool institutions under the Social Facilities Directorate. In addition, over 2,500 teachers and nearly 1,000 preschool instructors are engaged in educating children across both state and private educational institutions in Almalyk.
The city’s higher educational institutions also employ 253 professors and lecturers, who continue to share their knowledge with university students.
