On the first Sunday of August, Uzbekistan traditionally celebrates the Day of Railway Workers – a holiday for those who ensure the smooth operation of the most important artery of industry. In honor of this date, a ceremonial event was organized for the team of the industrial railway transport department of AMMC.

The Chairman of the Board of JSC “Almalyk Mining & Metallurgical Combine”, Senator Abdulla Khursanov addressed those present with warm words of congratulations. He expressed gratitude to the railway workers for their selfless work, emphasizing their invaluable contribution to the production processes of the plant and active participation in the implementation of large investment projects. He noted that without the coordinated work of the railway service, it is impossible to imagine the effective operation of the entire enterprise.

As part of the celebration, the awards were presented to the most distinguished workers. For many years of fruitful work, the foreman of the section of railway shop No. 3 Ulugbek Kosimov was awarded the 2^nd degree "Miner's Glory" badge. The Chief Power Engineer Dilmurod Rajabov and the Head of the Non-Metallic Construction Materials Quarry, Bakhrom Abdukakhkharov received the "Miner's Glory" badges of 3^rd degree.

In addition, four employees were awarded Certificates of Honor, and fifteen railway workers were rewarded with valuable gifts for conscientious work and contribution to the development of production.

Particular attention was paid to young specialists who showed initiative in the field of rationalization. 17 proposals for reducing production costs and increasing energy efficiency were not only recognized as the best according to the results of the competition, but were also implemented in production. According to 11 proposals, the plant has already managed to obtain an economic effect of 4.34 billion UZS. All authors received well-deserved cash prizes.

The holiday ended with a vibrant concert program prepared by amateur art groups of the “Metallurg” Palace of Culture. The real highlight of the evening was the performance of the famous pop singer Umar Shamsiev, whose fiery songs raised the spirits of all those present.

For reference: according to the results of the first half of 2025, the enterprise successfully fulfilled all production indicators. Thus, the forecast for the transportation of rock was fulfilled by 102.5%, for stripping operations – by 105.1%. The total volume of transportation reached 101.2% of the forecast. 2.7 km of new railway tracks were built, another 6.7 km were overhauled. The volume of manufactured products amounted to 6.3 billion UZS, which is 26% higher than the forecast.
