The growing partnership between the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex (AMMC) and higher education institutions is accelerating the integration of science and industry. Innovative solutions are being introduced to address challenges in technological production processes, helping to boost overall labor productivity.

On September 10 this year, AMMC hosted a meeting with professors and lecturers from the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology to discuss prospects for closer cooperation.

During the meeting, representatives from AMMC’s Digitalization Department, the Department of Science and Innovation, and the Training Center, along with faculty members from the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology, held discussions on several key areas. These included expanding cooperation in scientific research, technical and laboratory services, implementing dual education programs, training qualified specialists for the Complex, and carrying out joint projects in digitalization and automation.

University representatives also delivered a presentation outlining potential areas of collaboration. Following the discussions, both sides reached an agreement on the main directions for future cooperation.

For reference, the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology (TICT), established in 1991, is one of the leading and most prestigious technical universities in Uzbekistan and Central Asia specializing in chemical, oil and gas, food, and materials technologies. The institute maintains international partnerships with more than 20 countries and over 100 academic and mobility programs, and actively participates in joint projects with institutions in the European Union, Russia, Belarus, and South Korea. In recent years, TICT’s scientific research and innovation activities have achieved significant results in industry, environmental protection, and food security.
