+998 71 619 23 33As is well known, fish are being raised for the employees of the combine at the “Kizil-oy” recreation area of the Consumer Goods Production Department.
This year, at the initiative of the management of the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex (AMMC), the enterprise adopted a semi-intensive method of fish farming.
According to Abduvohid Shodiyev, Deputy Head of the Consumer Goods Production Department, this method has several advantages. First of all, it allows for the efficient use of water resources — an especially relevant issue today. The fish are raised in clean water and fed with floating feed that does not sink, which prevents excessive feed consumption and makes it possible to monitor each fish’s growth. The method also reduces labor intensity — currently, only four employees are engaged in fish farming activities.
This year, 4,200 carp fingerlings have been released into four ponds, and it is planned to supply fresh, high-quality fish to the combine’s workers by the end of October.
Next year, fish farming will be further expanded using this method, with the introduction of carp, grass carp, and other species.
