Today, the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex launched its latest investment project, the modern Kauldy gold recovery plant, aimed at expanding the plant’s production capacity.

It is noteworthy that the technological equipment installed at the plant, as well as the entire complex of construction works, were carried out using the Complex internal capabilities. This was another striking result of the localization program implementation and clearly demonstrated the high engineering potential of domestic specialists.

The opening ceremony was attended by the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex management, the Complex foreign partners, representatives of the Almalyk Khokimiyat, labor veterans, and the public.

Speakers at the event emphasized that the launch of the new facility will enable more efficient use of local raw materials, consistently increase gold production volumes, and strengthen the country’s national gold reserves.

A group of builders, department heads, and specialists who made significant contributions to the project were awarded Certificates of Honor and Letters of Appreciation.

Following the official part, the event participants were introduced to the plant production facilities and the conditions created for the company employees.

The Chief Engineer of the Complex, Sergei Larionov, reported to the chairman of the board of the AMMC, Abdulla Khursanov, on the official launch of the plant. After this, the enterprise began work and received its first concentrate.

New factory will process ore mined in the Kauldy and Kuyi-Kenjasay deposits. The production capacity of the enterprise is up to 200 thousand tons of ore per year. The implementation of the second stage of the project is also planned for the future.

The construction of the facility was implemented by the Olmalikmetallurgkurilish trust. The teams from the Specialized Repair Works Department, the Production Automation Department, the Automobile Transport Department, the Logistics and Supply Department, the Technical Security Systems Service, and the Kauldy Mine Administration also actively participated in the project implementation. Specialists from the design department made a significant contribution to the development of design documentation, and the capital construction department ensured coordination of the construction process.

The project included the construction of a two-story administrative building, a canteen for employees, showers, and a security post, all equipped with all necessary equipment.

The plant’s technological equipment – flotation machines, a hydrocyclone, mills, a classifier, a contact tank and a thickener – was manufactured at the Complex central repair and mechanical plant. In addition, overhead cranes were installed at the site.

A large volume of improvement and landscaping work has been completed on the company’s premises. The project implementation also created 151 new jobs.
