Nestled among the proud mountains and the pristine, healing air of the Zomin district in Jizzakh region, a brand-new recreation center of the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex has risen to welcome its first guests.

The health and leisure facility were officially inaugurated on November 21.

The opening ceremony was attended by AMMC leadership, representatives of the Zomin district governor’s office, contractors, and veteran employees.

Speakers emphasized that social protection of workers is one of AMMC’s highest priorities, noting that the new center offers all the conditions for employees to restore their health and enjoy quality rest. They expressed confidence that the sanatorium will become a favorite destination of AMMC workers.

Following the ceremony, participants toured the facilities.

Built on a 5-hectare site, the complex was constructed by “Almalyk Metallurgical Construction” Trust and “Osiyo Qurilish Imkon Servis” LLC.

The recreation center can accommodate 180 guests and includes: 4 luxury cottages, 6 semi-luxury cottages, and 6 standard cottages.

Additional facilities include a library and training building, medical treatment center, laundry, sauna, indoor swimming pool, shaded relaxation areas, children’s playgrounds, a football field, parking area and service garage for vehicles, an entertainment hall, and a two-story dining hall for 180 guests.

To improve energy efficiency, building facades were insulated with basalt cladding. Full landscaping and beautification works were also completed across the territory.

Guests are provided with three daily meals. The flesh, therapeutic mountain air – rich with natural juniper aromas – along with mineral springs rising from underground, help strengthen respiratory health and improve overall well-being.

Construction of the facility cost 80 billion UZS. Notably, the launch of the complex created 78 new jobs.

AMMC employees now have access to yet another modern leisure and rehabilitation destination.
