+998 71 619 23 33Digitalization of industry today is one of the key drivers of economic development, ensuring the sustainable operation of manufacturing enterprises. At Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex, the implementation of the Automated Mining Complex Control System has become one of the most important initiatives in the national scale.
Thanks to the new digital platform, data is collected and processed in real time. The system automatically distributes dump trucks to excavators, and the use of unmanned aerial vehicles in mine surveying has tripled the speed of processes and significantly improved workers safety.
To develop artificial intelligence-based solutions and strengthen information security in mines, new functions of the intelligent control system have been launched. Specifically, it is now possible to determine ore size, monitor the condition of excavator bucket teeth, and track driver fatigue, even during night shifts.
Today, the Qalmaqqyr Mine Administration launched the second phase of this large-scale project.
According to Chief Engineer Shahzod Esonov, the first stage of digitalization has been completed: more than 70 excavators and 30 drilling rigs are equipped with GPS sensors that monitor operational efficiency and equipment condition in real time.
The second stage includes:
This will enable the collection, transmission, and processing of actual data on the technical condition of the machines, operating modes, utilization levels, downtime, and production indicators. In the second phase, alongside the expansion of the equipment fleet, the work will continue on comprehensive monitoring of all channels and subsystems of the Automated Mining Complex.
In addition, plans include the development of analytical tools, expanded reporting functionality, and the implementation of technical condition forecasting elements. Further, the project will create a database for the application of predictive maintenance technologies and the optimization of production processes.
The control system is integrated with the Datamine geological and mining information platform, enabling the creation of three-dimensional geological blocks based on exploration data and sample analysis. In the next phase, specialists will use specialized Datamine modules to design blast blocks, determine drilling parameters, borehole charging schemes, and blasting sequences.
The project's main advantage is data transparency and accuracy. This ensures control of borehole depth and diameter, promptly identifying deviations, and timely adjustments. This approach improves drilling quality, reduces the risk of errors, and enhances industrial safety.
This results in the creation of a unified digital control system for drilling and blasting operations. The system enables the transition from fragmented control to continuous monitoring, reduces the likelihood of unexpected breakdowns, and transitions from emergency repairs to scheduled preventative maintenance.
Automated tracking of excavator loading cycles eliminates subjective errors in manual calculations, provides an objective assessment of productivity, and helps identify potential efficiency reserves. Furthermore, the system automatically calculates the volume of loaded rock based on the number of loads and bucket parameters.
The "Digital AMMC" project at the “Qalmaqqyr” mine is a step toward sustainable production based on the principles of speed, accuracy, and transparency. It creates a solid foundation for continuous technological improvement and enhanced safety in the industry.
