In February this year, during a video conference chaired by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on measures to further develop the Olympic and Paralympic movement, advance mass sports, and increase public physical activity, a series of tasks were outlined for implementation.

To fulfill these tasks, Almalyk MMC’s Trade Union Council, through the Physical Education and Sports Department, has been regularly organizing competitions in various mass sports among the plant’s employees.

The handball competitions, one of the key mass sports, have now concluded.

On September 27-28, the final matches of the “Spartakiad-2025” handball tournament were held.

Among the teams in the second group, the Copper Concentrator Plant-3 team emerged victorious. The joint team of the Central Office and Technical Systems Safety Service secured second place, while the joint team of the Specialized Repair Department and Central Analytical Laboratory took third.

In the first group, the podium was occupied by the teams of the Copper-Smelting Plant, “Kalmakyr” Mine Administration, and Copper Concentrator Plant.
