On September 19 of this year, the “Vocational Education Day” was held in our capital, Tashkent.

The event was attended by the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Kongratboy Sharipov; the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Uzbekistan, Manfred Huterer; representatives of the German Development Cooperation Agency (ANK/GIZ), as well as specialists from the AMMC Training Center.

During the event, mutually beneficial meetings were held. Discussions focused on key issues of further integrating the higher education system with the real sector of the economy. Participants addressed ways to strengthen cooperation between universities, technical colleges, and industry, enhance the practical orientation of academic programs, and develop clear mechanisms for the advancement of dual education.

Special emphasis was placed on international experience—particularly the German model of vocational and higher education—as a successful example of training highly qualified, practice-oriented specialists.

Such meetings serve not only as a platform for exchanging experience, but also as an important step toward building a competitive and sustainable education system in Uzbekistan.
