+998 71 619 23 33On June 18, another preventive event dedicated to combating corruption and fraud, as well as preventing offenses and crimes, was held at the Central Mechanical Repair Plant of AMMC.
It was attended by the officer of the Internal Affairs Department of the Tashkent Region Main Department of Internal Affairs at AMMC and Deputy Director of the Central Mechanical Repair Plant for the Safety of Material Assets Madamin Mirzanov.
During the event, the speakers spoke in detail about the problems of crime among young people and especially emphasized the increase in the number of online frauds in recent years. Participants were told about cases when fraudsters take out loans in the name of other people, using their personal data, and also deceive users through fake accounts and websites.
Particular attention was paid to the fact that fraudsters are increasingly using the images of celebrities. With the help of artificial intelligence-based programs, they fake video and audio, making gullible people believe that real stars are contacting them. As a result, people voluntarily transfer large sums of money to fraudsters.
There were also examples of fraud, when victims receive messages like: "You have won money", "You are entitled to an inheritance" or "You have been allocated funds from the fund - get them via the link". All of these are tricks by which fraudsters lure out personal information.
Participants were reminded: do not transfer your data to dubious sources and under no circumstances open files with unknown extension ".apk".
Young people actively participated in the discussion and received detailed answers to their questions.
