On August 26, the large-scale celebration took place in Almalyk – the celebration of the 34^th anniversary of our country's independence.

The event, organized by Almalyk Mining & Metallurgical Comlex together with the town administration, was filled with national color, patriotism and joy. The holiday, held under the inspiring motto "In the name of the Motherland, in the name of the nation, in the name of the people!", became a bright symbol of the unity of the people and the power of independent Uzbekistan.

The venue for the celebration was the AMMC sports complex, where various programs were prepared for the inhabitants and guests of the town. The national cultural centers of the Korean and Russian communities presented their original culture, the craftsmen showed works of traditional applied art, and the Almalyk Museum of Local History organized thematic exhibitions. All this created a festive atmosphere, where the past and present of our Motherland were intertwined in a single impulse.

The Chairman of the Board of JSC Almalyk MMC, Senator Abdulla Khursanov addressed the audience with warm words of congratulations. He emphasized that the investment megaprojects implemented at the plant are of paramount importance for the sustainable development of the country and serve the benefit of the people. Congratulations on the anniversary of independence were also heard from the the Head of Almalyk Town Administration Kobil Khamdamov, who noted that this day is a holiday for every resident of the country.

The ceremony began with the performance of the National Anthem of the Republic of Uzbekistan, after which the audience witnessed a rich cultural program. The theatrical musical composition "Obod mahallam" and the dance number of the children's group of the "Metallurg" Palace of Culture called "Happy Childhood" caused sincere applause. The big screen reminded the participants of the covenants of our Jadids, which gave the holiday a special spiritual strength and once again filled the hearts of the townspeople with a sense of devotion to the Motherland.

The patriotic spirit was enhanced by the performances of the servicemen of the unit of the Troops for the Protection of Categorized Facilities of the Ministry of Defense stationed in Almalyk, as well as demonstration of the local athletes. The festive atmosphere was enhanced by the performances of the performers of the Republican Makom Ensemble, whose art became a link between the traditions of the past and the new aspirations of the country.

The audience was especially pleased with the songs performed by Honored Artist of Uzbekistan Abdurashid Yuldoshev, singer Mashkhura Ergasheva and People's Artist of Uzbekistan Gulomjon Yokubov. Their performances became a real highlight of the evening and a gift for the city residents, miners and metallurgists.
