For the New Era, for the New Uzbekistan!

Today, at the “Metallurg” Palace of Culture, a ceremony was held to award the winners of the nationwide solidarity festival “For the Homeland, for the Nation, for the People!” and the “For the New Era, for the New Uzbekistan!” competition, as well as the international handball tournament, all organized by the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex (AMMC) in celebration of the 34th anniversary of our country’s Independence.

At the beginning of the event, the audience was presented with a video film titled “Irreversible Reforms” dedicated to the 3rd Copper Concentrator Plant.

In his speech, Abdulla Khursanov, Chairman of the Management Board of AMMC, emphasized that the investment projects being implemented at the complex make a significant contribution to the development of our country. He noted that the launch of the 3rd Copper Concentrator Plant, built as part of the megaproject, has created numerous new jobs and given a powerful impetus to the development of Almalyk’s infrastructure. He also congratulated everyone on the Independence Day and expressed his sincere wishes.

Yesterday, AMMC’s handball team won the international men’s handball tournament held in Baku, dedicated to the memory of the national leader of the Azerbaijani people, Heydar Aliyev.

During the ceremony, coaches and members of the team were presented with valuable gifts.

Next, the winners of the “For the Homeland, for the Nation, for the People!” nationwide solidarity festival, organized by AMMC to mark the 34th anniversary of Uzbekistan’s State Independence, were awarded.

In particular, the teams from the Kalmakyr Mining Administration and the Thermal Power Plant were awarded first place.

Second place went to the teams from the Zinc Plant, the Electrical Networks Department, and the Central Mechanical and Repair Plant.

Third place was awarded to the teams of “Almalyk Metallurgical Construction” Trust, the Consumer Goods Production Department, the Production Automation Department, and the “Yoshlik I” mine.

Additionally, all participating departments and military unit representatives were recognized in various categories.

During the event, the winners of the “For the New Era, for the New Uzbekistan!” competition were also rewarded with valuable prizes.

In particular, in the poetry category, the winner was Ashurali Boymurod — a poet, publicist, and member of the Writers’ Union of Uzbekistan.

In the article category, the winner was Behzod Boboyarov, a commercial inspector at the 2nd Railway Workshop of the Industrial Railway Transport Department.

The winners presented their creative works to the audience, and the musical performances by the creative groups of the “Metallurg” Palace of Culture were warmly received by the spectators.
