A New Industrial Site Will Create Better Conditions for Miners

18 September 2025, 14:21 1120

As part of the “Development of the Yoshlik I Deposit” investment project, the construction of several facilities is currently underway.

In particular, the “Almalyk constructional building” trust is building the industrial site of the “Yoshlik I” mine. The site covers an area of 4.5 hectares, and construction works are funded at 120,938,906,092 UZS. To date, construction works worth 20,053,059,706 UZS have been completed.

This facility is being built to provide technical maintenance services for various types of mining transport vehicles used at the “Yoshlik I” mine.

According to Olimjon Saydinov, Lead Engineer for industrial site construction at the “Yoshlik I” mining administration, the industrial zone will include: An administrative and utility building, warehouses for material storage, a canopy with inspection pit for vehicle technical inspections, a mechanical repair workshop, gas cutting and manual welding workshop, concrete overpass, underground reservoir for used oil, overpass for draining used oil, container area for storing fuel and lubricants, shed for empty fuel containers, vehicle washing station, water treatment facility, modular pumping station

Additionally, the project includes: A solid household waste area, a diesel power station, firefighting water reservoir, storage facilities for nitrogen, oxygen, and propane cylinders, checkpoint buildings, wastewater and rainwater reservoirs, a building for washroom facilities, parking area, outdoor transformer substation, water supply pump station for household and drinking water, firefighting pump stations, waiting pavilion.

Currently, the roof and wall sections of the administrative building have been covered with sandwich panels, and internal partition wall installation has begun. Pillars for the material storage warehouse, large tire storage, vehicle inspection canopy, and mechanical repair workshop have also been installed.

As of today: Over 130,000 cubic meters of earthworks have been completed. 7,157.35 cubic meters of concrete work has been carried out. Perimeter fencing using reinforced concrete structures is ongoing.

For the installation of building frames, around 750 tons of various metal structures are planned, of which over 175 tons have already been mounted. More than 11,000 square meters of profiled metal sheeting will be used for roofing and wall cladding.

The industrial site is expected to be commissioned by the end of 2025.

The construction of this site — equipped with all necessary conditions for workers and modern technical service facilities for mining vehicles — will help reduce excessive manual labor and ensure timely and high-quality execution of mining operations.
