Briefing: 2025 Results at AMMC – Summary and Outcomes, Priority Tasks for 2026

09 January 2026, 16:41 514

At the briefing, Umida Qarshiboyeva, Head of the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex Press Service, provided detailed information on the work carried out at the AMMC in 2025, as well as on the priority tasks for 2026.

The Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex ensured the fulfillment of all production forecasts in 2025.

In particular, according to the results of 2025, the volume of industrial production amounted to 51.6 trillion UZS, or the forecast plan was fulfilled by 119%. The growth rate was 134.5%. This result means that the Complex produced +13.2 trillion UZS more industrial products compared to the previous year.

In 2025, 148,500 tons of copper were produced in physical terms. Notably, copper production at the complex increased by 11.1 thousand tonnes compared to 2024.

Also, the fulfillment of forecasts for the production of precious metals such as gold and silver was ensured by more than half, and more of these products were produced compared to 2024.

In particular, if we compare the past nine-year period, copper production last year increased by 140,8%, gold production – by 139,8%, silver production – by 163,5% compared to 2016.

Along with the implementation of the set tasks, investment projects are also being implemented at full speed. In particular, the first concentrate was produced at the Copper Processing Plant-3 on 27 March 2025. In 2025, Copper Concentrator Plant No. 3 was commissioned in trial operation mode and produced products worth USD 130 million, including gold worth USD 58 million, silver worth USD 4.85 million, and copper worth USD 65.9 million.

The volume of direct foreign loans within the framework of the investment amounted to $600.2 million.

In addition, in 2025, one rotary kiln was commissioned at the Lime Plant, and two rotary kilns were commissioned at the Rare Metals Production Shop of the Copper Smelting Plant. A new explosives plant was built and put into operation.

I would also like to emphasize that the Complex has consistently remained active in fulfilling its payment obligations to the state budget. In particular, the Complex paid 23.23 trillion UZS to the budget in 2025. This means that payments were made with an excess of +4.2 trillion UZS compared to 2024.

Another noteworthy point is that the Complex is also carrying out effective work to reduce the cost price of production by reducing operating expenses. In 2025, operating expenses were reduced by 1.9 trillion UZS, and the cost of production was reduced by 11.8%.

In addition, the export forecast for products manufactured at the plant was fulfilled by 104.2%, and exports worth $510.4 million were carried out.

The Localization Program is also being effectively implemented at AMMC. Within the framework of the program, products for 1.31 trillion UZS were produced in 2025, and the volume of purchases under industrial cooperation was brought to 4.2 trillion UZS. It should be noted that this is 3 times more than in 2024, or 2.9 trillion UZS.

In 2025, 26 projects were launched at Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex for automation business and production processes, optimize management and operational areas.

In particular, in order to develop artificial intelligence technologies, work has begun on establishing the “Artificial Intelligence Department” within the structure of the plant. Currently, a draft order on organization of the department has been approved, and practical works are underway to establish it.

Also, in order to develop artificial intelligence systems and increase information security, the functions of monitoring ore dimensions, excavator bucket teeth, and driver fatigue have been launched within the mining and transport operations management system at the “Qalmoqqir” and “Yoshlik-I” mines.

The pilot project of video analytics with use of machine vision control is being implemented during the ore enrichment process. As a result, the metal separation was stabilized and the relative reagent consumption was optimized.

Pilot video analytics projects are also being realized in hazardous production facilities and zones, using more than 3,500 CCTV cameras to monitor employee compliance with occupational health and safety regulations, the use of personal protective equipment, and fire detection.

The Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex is not only active in production, but also consistently supports the social sphere.

On 24 July 2025, the building of specialized boarding school №71 in Syrdarya district of Syrdarya region, reconstructed under the auspices of Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex, was put into operation.

On 27 August 2025, the modern building was built and commissioned for the Football Academy of the AMMC professional football club. Modern fields were built for the Academy's students. Now young football players have the opportunity to study in a modern building and at the same time learn the secrets of football.

On 21 November 2025, the new recreation center for the plant's employees was built and put into operation in Zaamin district of Jizzakh region.

Also, the reconstruction works of the "Dukent" Palace of Culture in the city of Angren are in progress.

Under the auspices of the AMMC, the construction work was carried out on a 3-storey building for 120 soldiers of the military unit of the Command of the Protection Troops for Classified Objects, consisting of training rooms, work and sports rooms for soldiers, dressing rooms and bathrooms, and the building was recently commissioned.

Large-scale works have been carried out for area landscaping within the framework of the "Green Space" and "Green Belt" projects.  1.9 million trees have been planted on the area of more than 270 hectares, which plays an important role in ensuring environmental safety.

Plans for 2026

  1. The volume of industrial production will amount to 4 trillion soums, representing 105.2% compared to 2025.
  2. Within the framework of the investment program:
  • At the Copper Concentration Plant No. 3, all facilities will be switched to continuous operation;
  • At the Zinc Plant, Sulfuric Acid Facility №6 with a capacity of 180 thousand tons will be commissioned;
  • Construction of Copper Concentration Plant №4 will be intensively continued, and basic engineering will be fully completed;

Within the construction of the new copper smelting complex, the feasibility study for the infrastructure facilities will be prepared. Contractors will be selected for the construction of the Metallurgical Shop, Sulfuric Acid Shop, and the Concentrate Storage Facility. Construction of the Oxygen Plant will commence.

In addition, energy saving, cost reduction, and further improvement of the environmental situation are also considered key objectives.
