The meeting was recently held at Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex to discuss the final report of the Advisory Council on Women and Gender Equality for 2025, identify priorities for 2026, and elect the new members of the Council.

The event was attended by female executives, active representatives of the women's community, and the chairs of the Advisory Councils on Women and Gender Equality from the Complex structural divisions.

The speakers noted that the Council's work has yielded tangible results in social, cultural, and spiritual-educational areas over the past period.

Deputy Chairwoman of the Council, Kamola Umaralieva, presented the report entitled "Report of the Advisory Council on Women and Gender Equality of Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex for 2025 and the approved work plan for 2026."

The report noted that, with the participation of women at both the country and Complex levels, reforms and events were implemented to foster a healthy ideology, promote honest work, spiritual and moral values, prevent crime and delinquency among women, and prevent violence and divorce. To this end, awareness-raising meetings were organized, and various projects and theme weeks were implemented.

Also, at the initiative of the Council, the "Golden Hands of AMMC" club for talented women was established, bringing together women demonstrating talent in creativity, crafts, sports, art, sewing, and other fields. The club's main objectives were to popularize and encourage their creativity, provide support, implement the "Mentor-Student" tradition, organize exhibitions, and ensure the club's ongoing and systematic activities.

The "Jannatmakon" club was established to study the history of our country, widely promote tourism, organize trips, and implement various tourism projects.

To support socially vulnerable families, the "We Are Together!" social project continues, and a volunteer group is actively involved. Volunteers organized the "Mothers for a Safe Life!" and "Mothers for a Green Life!" campaigns.

To ensure compliance with President Resolution No. PP-402 dated 22 November 2024, "On the measures to improve the cancer surveillance system among women," medical examinations and awareness-raising activities for women have been conducted at the Complex facilities since January of last year, in collaboration with the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center of Oncology and Radiology of the Tashkent Region. To date, over 3,000 women from 25 plant divisions have received initial examinations and awareness-raising activities. In order to detect oncological diseases early, from February to May, in-depth medical examinations were conducted in the medical unit every Tuesday with the participation of qualified oncogynecologists and mammologists, during which over 1,100 women from the plant were examined.

As part of the "Honor for Women" week held at the Complex in connection with International Women's Day, March 8, 100 socially vulnerable women, including those raising disabled family members, were given food packages and holiday gifts. In addition, 250 women in need were sent to the capital to attend holiday concerts organized by the State Philharmonic of Uzbekistan, funded by the Complex.

Following the initiatives and instructions of the head of state to develop domestic tourism and organize work trips, last year more than 3,000 female workers participated in tourist trips, and over 700 women were sent to the capital to attend theaters.

From September 3 to 5, 2025, the Council held the "Mothers – for a Safe Life!" campaign.

In October, AMMC organized meaningful meetings with women in the Complex structural divisions as part of the "Week of Spirituality and Enlightenment" to enhance the effectiveness of spiritual and educational work among women, foster national, spiritual, and moral consciousness in society, and strengthen a healthy social environment.

As part of international cooperation between Uzbekistan and European countries, AMMC implemented another significant initiative: the creation of the "AMMC-Partners" Women Leaders club. The first meeting of the club took place in April, and the next meeting was held in June. The participants included female plant executives and activists, representatives of foreign banks and businesses, and leading female specialists and experts in finance and other industries.

The “AMMC-Partners” Women Leaders Community, which brings together hundreds of active women, aims to ensure gender equality in the country and at the plant, increase women's participation, discuss opportunities for their personal and professional development, and provide women with legal and practical psychological support. To date, five meetings of this community have been held.

All structural divisions have implemented organizational measures to study women's working conditions and address their concerns. Over 220 relevant studies were conducted during 2025.

The AMMC Council received over 150 concerns, and Council representatives participated in over 30 citizen receptions. Furthermore, the plant held the "16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence" campaign.
