+998 71 619 23 33Occupational health and safety issues are under special control of the management and the Trade Union Council of JSC “Almalyk MMC”. An example of this was the meeting on the results of work in the field of occupational health and safety at the Combine for the first half of 2025 and the tasks for the third quarter of this year, which was held on July 22 in the “Metallurg” Palace of Culture.
The extended meeting, chaired by the Head of the Occupational Safety Department Shukhrat Juraev, was attended by managers responsible for labor protection and industrial safety, trade union leaders, authorized H&S officers of workshops and divisions, chief specialists of Almalyk MMC, representatives of the Trade Union Council, the Almalyk Mining Technical Inspection and other responsible persons.
A number of issues were considered on the agenda, including: a report on the work done in the field of labor protection and industrial safety at the plant for the first half of 2025 and the tasks for the third quarter of this year; report on the personal responsibility of managers, measures taken to prevent and avoid accidents in structural divisions; report on measures taken to prevent the causes of accidents with a miner of the Kochbulak mine of the Angren Mine Administration, with a repairman and a shift foreman of the MOF, with a miner of the Guzaksai mine of the Chadak Mine Administration; as well as issues of industrial safety at the AMMC, morbidity statistics and prevention of occupational diseases.
Speaking with an analysis of the state of ocupational safety in the workshops and divisions of the plant for the first half of this year, Shukhrat Juraev noted those activities that were carried out according to the plan, i.e. work aimed at improving working conditions and labor protection, preventive work to prevent industrial injuries.
In particular, it was noted that in the first half of this year, 40.9 billion UZS were spent on the implementation of comprehensive labor protection measures at the plant. These activities were mainly aimed at providing special clothing, special footwear and PPE, carbonated and mineral water, soap, medicines for health centers, first aid kits, as well as certification of workplaces, periodic medical examinations, including pre-trip and pre-shift examinations.
At the plant's training center, 4,290 employees underwent advanced training, 859 workers and 1,385 engineering and technical workers underwent retraining in another profession. 90 plant employees underwent training in industrial safety.
During the reporting period, the Occupational Safety Department conducted 18 audits and 34 operational-targeted inspections and internal audits, revealing 1,905 violations of labor protection and industrial safety requirements, 55% of which are organizational violations, and 45% are technical.
Based on the results of the inspections, 18 orders were issued and 125 managers and specialists were brought to disciplinary responsibility.
In order to prepare a reserve of qualified personnel, 41 employees with higher education improved their qualifications in the Occupational Safety Department of the Central Office.
The Occupational Safety Department has intensified its work on monitoring and auditing occupational health and safety issues in the structural divisions of the plant. 27 seminars and meetings were held on the results of the audit, as well as on regulatory and technical documents in the field of occupational health and safety.
In accordance with the requirements established by Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 1066 (Appendix 5), 60 members of the Permanent Labor Safety Commission improved their qualifications in the field of occupational health and safety and received the relevant certificates.
