Dear female workers of the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex!

On behalf of the thousands of men who work at our complex, I sincerely congratulate you, our dear colleagues, mothers, sisters, and partners, on your holiday – International Women’s Day!

This day symbolizes our deep respect for you – the keepers of the family hearth, the creators and inspirers, and the educators of the country’s future generations.

In recent years, special attention has been paid to promoting the interests, support, rights, and empowerment of women in New Uzbekistan, as their advancement and provision of ample opportunities for self-realization is a priority of state policy.

Our complex is no exception, and we are rightfully proud to have highly qualified, responsible, and motivated women among our ranks. You successfully work in production areas, in engineering, economics, and finance departments, in chemical and scientific laboratories, and in leadership positions. And today, I can say without exaggeration that your contribution to the stable, safe, and efficient operation of our complex plant cannot be overstated.

Our complex employs over 7,660 women, including 2,393 entry-level workers under 30 and 886 experienced mentors and specialists. More than 2,300 women have dedicated 20 years or more to the complex.

 You attend higher education institutions, study languages, conduct research, and work alongside men to ensure the company achieves its goals. And all this while, you provide reliable support for your families, caring for your loved ones, and fostering a warm, inspiring spirit for your children, instilling in them a love for their homeland, work, and creativity.

For our part, we consistently create conditions for the professional growth and development of every female employee: we develop training and professional development programs, build a talent pool, strengthen social guarantees, pay special attention to occupational safety, support for motherhood and family, and create a comfortable and safe work environment.

Based on the belief that a strong team is built on equal opportunities and mutual respect, AMMC has a permanent Advisory Council established to implement a gender equality policy, support the female team, and improve working conditions.
