On behalf of the multi-thousand workforce of the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex and personally, I sincerely congratulate you on the occasion of Uzbekistan Trade Unions Day and the 120th anniversary of the establishment of trade unions in our country!
One hundred and twenty years of activity represent a historic path of dedication, solidarity, and service to the people. Every active member of a trade union and every worker has made a valuable contribution to this proud history.
Today, trade unions are not only organizations that defend the interests of workers but also an essential pillar for promoting social justice, labor culture, and unity within society. For more than a century, Uzbekistan’s trade unions have stood shoulder to shoulder with the people, continuously working to protect the rights, working conditions, health, and well-being of employees.
It is worth recalling that in 2020, during the Congress of the Federation of Trade Unions, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, for the first time in our country’s history, addressed his greetings to trade union workers and proposed designating November 11 as “Trade Unions Day.” Since then, this day has been widely celebrated every year across the nation.
Today, nearly 36,000 employees of the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex are members of the trade union. The role of the trade union in the life of the complex is significant. Due to the responsible approach of its representatives and ongoing large-scale reforms, the social interests of workers are reliably protected by law.
AMMC employees benefit from one of the most comprehensive social support “packages” among industrial sectors of our republic. Ample conditions have been created for employees to rest and recuperate, engage in sports and physical activities, spend quality cultural time with their families, and develop the creative and spiritual potential of young people. Respecting and supporting the elderly has also become a noble tradition of the organization.
Undoubtedly, the continuous and dedicated efforts of our trade union staff are deeply reflected in all these accomplishments.
On this remarkable anniversary, I sincerely wish you good health, peace, professional success, and new achievements. May the noble mission of trade unions continue to serve the progress of our country, the prosperity of our people, and the happiness of all working individuals!
