I sincerely congratulate you on the Independence Day of the Republic of Uzbekistan!
Thirty-four years ago, our country embarked on the path of independent development, and over the years has achieved recognition from the world community. It has become an equal partner in priority international organizations, a state whose opinion is listened to and whose proposals are taken into account.
Yes, all this did not happen in one day. From the first years, the republic launched programs aimed at reviving production in all areas of industry, ensuring the country's recognition through sports achievements, expanding cultural ties, and scientific developments.
Today, Uzbekistan is completely different from what it was 30 years ago. Industry has reached a new level, agriculture is developing, guaranteeing food security, and the most modern level of development of scientific potential, healthcare, culture, sports, and new production capacities is ensured.
But all these years, despite the work to ensure the country's competitiveness in the world, the main concern, the meaning of all the transformations has been and remains the person, the people living on the multinational fertile land of the republic.
This year is no exception. We celebrate Independence Day under the motto "In the name of the Motherland, in the name of the nation, in the name of people!".
All the economy sectors are developing by leaps and bounds, more and more international financial institutions and global companies are seeking to become participants in grand projects being implemented in Uzbekistan.
The general trend of today's dynamics is also visible in the activities of Almalyk Mining & Metallurgical Combine. Currently, each of us – the workers of AMMC, is a participant in the implementation of the large-scale investment project for the development of the “Yoshlik I” deposit, which became possible thanks to the bold decision of the President of the Republic Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
Eight years ago, it was difficult to imagine the grandeur of what was being implemented. We can only imagine its true scope now, when industrial ore mining has begun, when the first copper concentrate has been obtained at Copper Processing Plant No. 3 for processing 60 million tons of ore per year, when two more similar factories are being prepared for construction, when a copper complex capable of handling all these enormous volumes is being built. And all this with provision of an extensive infrastructure and development of the related industries.
Much attention is paid to "green" energy – wind and solar power plants are being built, solar panels and mini-hydroelectric power plants are being installed. The introduction of IT technologies, automation of production are taking the industry to a new level, and scientific developments in geology, enrichment, metallurgy are aimed at achieving a balance between nature, people and the economy. The general trend of all these works is aimed at creating new jobs, and, as a result, increasing the base for training personnel, strengthening the confidence of young people in the future and their desire to participate in the further improvement of the country.
Continuing the traditions of the Engineering School of the plant for in-depth retraining and advanced training of specialists, this year the Advanced Engineering School "GeoMetTech" was created on the basis of the Almalyk branch of the University of Science and Technology MISIS to train masters and researchers, where a group of enrichment specialists has already been formed from among those who successfully passed the selection rounds.
Despite the scale of its production projects, the Almalyk Mining & Metallurgical Combine takes an active part in the implementation of social programs in Uzbekistan. This year alone, the reconstruction of a special boarding school in the Syrdarya region was completed, the territories of mahallas in the Bostanlyk, Parkent, Kuyichirchik and Urtachirchik districts of Tashkent region and Fergana region were improved, a major overhaul of the Bekabad multidisciplinary polyclinic was carried out, and the reconstruction of the “Dukent” Palace of Culture is underway. The construction of the Football Academy at the PFC “OKMK” has been completed, and its students have already shown themselves to be prize winners at an international tournament...
The workers of Almalyk Mining & Metallurgical Combine and their families are under close attention and care. Improved working conditions, the opportunity to improve health in a health resort and numerous sanatoriums of the republic, children's recreation in summer health resorts, mainly located in resort areas – this is only a small list of the social package guaranteed to workers. The commissioning of the sanatorium in Zaamin, Jizzakh region, in the near future will create modern conditions for recreation for the plant's workers.
The clubs and the "Women's Academy" operating under the Coordinating Council on Women's Issues open up new opportunities in organizing cultural leisure through travel and visits to theaters and museums in the capital, the development of entrepreneurship and creativity, which are clearly demonstrated in numerous exhibitions and exchanges of experience.
All this has become a reality thanks to the country's independence, large-scale reforms being carried out at the initiative of the President of the Republic and the full support of the people for these grandiose programs.
Dear colleagues, dear Almalyk inhabitants!
Once again, I sincerely congratulate you on the 34th anniversary of the state independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and wish you health, happiness, peace and prosperity!
