Holiday greeting for the teachers and mentors day

30 September 2025, 15:53 2027

First of all, I sincerely congratulate you on October 1 — Teachers’ and Mentors’ Day!

In recent years, thanks to the initiatives of our national leadership, science and education have become one of the top priorities of state policy. Dozens of important decrees, resolutions, and programs have been adopted in this area — something you all know very well.

Just yesterday, on the occasion of Teachers’ and Mentors’ Day, our President met with representatives of the education sector. During the meeting, dedicated educators were awarded state honors, and a number of new benefits for teachers were announced. From now on, teachers will receive support with mortgage loans, have 30% of their children’s tuition fees covered, be eligible for low-interest loans to purchase computers, and obtain educational loans to study at the world’s top 300 universities. As our President emphasized, the teaching profession is gradually becoming a prestigious and well-paid career in society.

Furthermore, on September 23, during the 80th session of the UN General Assembly held in New York, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev delivered a speech addressing globally important issues. In his address, he proposed holding a World Professional Education Summit in Uzbekistan to create a unified international platform for teachers to exchange experience and knowledge. I believe this is a highly relevant and timely proposal — one that will help raise the quality of education in our country to an even higher level by improving teachers’ professional skills.

Today, we can proudly say that a true education cluster has been established here in the city of Almalyk.

The “Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex” (AMMC) is not only a major industrial enterprise but also a socially responsible company that actively supports large-scale reforms in education and science.

At present, within our Social Facilities Department, there are 15 preschool institutions employing 405 educators. This year alone, 759 children from our kindergartens have transitioned to general education schools. Our teachers are working selflessly, using innovative methods to prepare our children for a bright future.

General education schools are also showing remarkable results — our students are earning high achievements in academic Olympiads and competitions.

Currently, in the state and private schools and preschools of our city, over 2,500 teachers are educating more than 26,000 students, and nearly 1,000 caregivers are nurturing around 10,000 preschool-aged children.

We are also deeply grateful to the hundreds of devoted teachers and production trainers working in our city’s vocational and technical colleges, helping thousands of young people find their rightful place in life.

At the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Technical College alone, 724 students are studying across 18 specialties. In the 2024–2025 academic year, 230 graduates were employed at our company — a shining example of successful collaboration between mentors and apprentices.

At the Almalyk Polytechnic College, 1,202 students are studying in 16 directions. Last year, 96 out of 474 graduates were hired directly by the AMMC.

In addition, the MISIS University Almalyk Branch currently has 1,064 students studying in 7 fields, taught by 74 highly qualified professors and teachers, including 12 Doctors of Science. In recent years, 90–100% of its graduates have been successfully employed.

At the Tashkent State Technical University Almalyk Branch, 5,232 students are studying, taught by 179 professors and lecturers, with a research capacity of 44%. Most of its graduates are employed, and many of them are proudly working at our enterprise.

Another important piece of news — according to our President’s recent decision, the Tashkent State Technical University Almalyk Branch has been reorganized into the Almalyk State Technical Institute.

This reform holds great importance for training highly qualified specialists for the industry of our country, including the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex.

In addition, at the Training Center and School of Engineering under the AMMC, young people are gaining in-depth knowledge of modern production technologies.

The most significant aspect is that our company is not only a major industrial enterprise but also forming a comprehensive educational cluster — from kindergartens to technical colleges and higher education institutions. Within this system, hundreds of teachers and thousands of students work together toward a shared goal.

Dear teachers and mentors!

Thanks to your tireless work and dedication, thousands of our young people today are becoming skilled professionals with modern knowledge and expertise. The most gratifying part is that many of them are finding their place right here at our company.

For the future of our country, the prosperity of our people, and the development of our enterprise, we undoubtedly need patriotic, well-educated young specialists. And it is you, our dear teachers and mentors, who prepare these individuals for us. In this noble mission, we trust you, rely on you, and deeply value your contribution.

Once again, I sincerely congratulate all of you on this wonderful holiday!

I wish you strong health, family happiness, and great success in your noble work!

Abdulla Khursanov

Chairman of the Board, Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex Joint-Stock Company

Senator of the Oliy Majlis
