This factory is located in the territory of the Sariosiyo district of the Surkhandarya region of the Republic of Uzbekistan, 54 km from the center of the Sariosiyo district, 43 km from the city of Shargun and 50 km from the village of Denov in the town of Kenguzar. The nearest railway station to the factory is Saryosi, which is 54 km from the mine.
The factory has 26 flotation machines 163 (FPM 163), 34 flotation machines 3.23 (FPM 3.23), 3 condensing-filtering machines, pumping devices (Grak, PRV, NS-54, Varmen), MMPS - 5x3.4, MShS – 3.2x3.1, MShS 2.7x3.6 type mills, equipped with 1 jaw crusher, 7 condensing boilers, 1 classifier, hydrocyclones and conveyor belts.
The factory is engaged in the process from beneficiation of many types of (polymetallic) ores to the production of copper (Cu), zinc (Zn), lead (Pb) concentrates.
Extracted copper and zinc concentrates are delivered to the technical base of raw materials using dump trucks for loading into wagons. These concentrates are sent to the copper smelting and zinc plants of the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Combine loaded on wagons.
The lead concentrate is transported by dump trucks to the 25,000-ton lead storage facility located in the tailings section of the concentrator and is stored there until export begins. With the start of export operations, lead concentrate is loaded onto dump trucks using loaders and delivered to the material and technical base.
History
The construction of the mine-concentration complex based on the polymetallic ore reserves of the Khondiza mine with a capacity of 650 thousand tons has been started. This project was financed at the expense of 46.5 million dollars of own funds of the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Combine, as well as 60 million dollars from the Fund for Reconstruction and Development of Uzbekistan and 40 million dollars from the banks of our country. The technical and economic basis of this large project was prepared with the participation of the Russian "Mechanobr engineering" JSC institute (St. Petersburg) and working documents were developed.
The lifeblood of the Khondiza mining complex begins with the Khondiza mine.
The Khondiza beneficiation plant, specializing in the processing of copper-lead-zinc polymetallic ores, is among the enterprises that have achieved not only the project capacity, but also the radical improvement of the production system in the past period after its commissioning. In particular, at the end of 2015, the activities carried out by the specialists of the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex to increase the amount of metals in concentrates quickly bore fruit. The installation of additional chambers for zinc flotation served to improve the performance of this joint, as well as to further increase the selection of copper. This event alone led to an average increase of 3-4% metal content in zinc concentrate.
Looking at the factory production system, we see that it includes the stages of grinding, flotation, thickening, flotation of copper, zinc, lead concentrates and sorting of copper-lead concentrates. Technological processes involve grinding of ores in three stages. High results are being achieved in the main and control flotation and collective concentrates re-purification joints. The dewatering section, which is one of the last stages of the production process, is equipped with 7 S-15 thickeners and 3 Diemma filter presses.
Scope of activity
Polymetallic ore with a nominal size of 1000+0 mm from the "Khondiza" mine is delivered to the industrial site of the factory by truck and loaded directly onto the plate feeder #100 using a loader. From the feeder, the ore falls into the loading window of jaw crusher #101. The capacity of the crusher is 400-900 t/h.
Ore with a size of up to 350 mm comes to the industrial site through the outlet window of the crushers. The ore is then transported to the loading hopper. To empty the hoppers, №102 (canvas width 1200 mm) two alternating tape feeders are moved. The ore is reloaded from the feeders to conveyor No. 103, and then to an inclined conveyor with a belt width of 1000 mm. The given productivity is maintained with a smooth speed adjuster - a feeder under the hopper according to the indicators of the conveyor scales.
The hourly productivity of the factory is 82.07 t/h.
Copper and zinc concentrates from the enrichment factory in Khondiz are sent to the metallurgical enterprises of the combine, and lead concentrate is placed in a temporary warehouse.
