CCP-3: green areas are expanding

27 April 2026, 10:48 320

The nationwide “Yashil Makon” (“Green Land”) project has now become a genuine people’s movement. The Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex is also making a significant contribution to this noble initiative.

Specifically, large-scale landscaping and beautification work is underway at Copper Concentrator Plant-3 (CCP-3), demonstrating not only the production potential of the Company but also its high commitment to environmental sustainability.

Since the beginning of the year, the processing plant has planted over 8,000 flower saplings and 12 species of trees along industrial sites and adjacent roads.

According to Ikhtiyor Dusov, the CCP-3 Head of Maintenance, over 20 thousand tree saplings have been planted on an area of 3.5 hectares. A drip irrigation system is being installed to water them.

Additionally, over 25 thousand seedlings are planned to be planted on the steep slopes of contours No. 40, 48, 57, and 34, covering a total area of 1.5 hectares. Over 10 kilometers of 20 mm diameter polyethylene pipes have already been laid for drip irrigation, and water reservoirs with capacities of 5 and 10 tons have been installed.

As part of the project, permanent workers are assigned to care for the seedlings and regularly provide agricultural maintenance. To ensure the rational use of natural resources, drip irrigation systems and special 25-cubic-meter reservoirs have been installed.

The result is clear: our relationship with nature is our relationship with our future. The CCP-3 systematic work becomes a link between industry and the environment. After all, today’s green spaces are a solid foundation for clean skies and healthy lives for future generations.
