23 May 2025, 13:36 1496

The construction of Copper Concentrator Plant-3, being built as part of the investment project for the development of the Yoshlik I deposit, is entering the home stretch. Currently, commissioning work is actively underway at the facility for the phased commissioning of process lines and sections.

As reported by Sherzod Masidikov, deputy director of the plant for production, construction and installation work is almost completed, and the launch of equipment and production sites is carried out at an accelerated pace. In particular, three crushing and handling facilities have been installed in the coarse ore workshop located next to the mine - one of them is already completely ready, the other two are at the completion stage.

One of the two main conveyors of the cyclic-flow transport system, each of which is 4,200 meters long and is designed to deliver crushed ore to the plant, has already been put into operation. Installation work is being completed on the second main conveyor.

Work is also close to completion at key facilities of the plant: the coarse crushed ore warehouse, dry and wet screening buildings, medium and fine crushing, ore preparation, flotation, copper-molybdenum concentrate thickening section, as well as in the filtration building, main distribution substations, administrative and utility service buildings.

The following facilities are gradually being put into operation: crushing and handling facility No. 3, main conveyor No. 1, feeders for the coarse crushed ore warehouse, screens in dry and wet screening buildings, crushers in medium and fine crushing buildings, mills in the ore preparation building, flotation lines and thickeners in the copper-molybdenum concentrate thickening section, as well as press filters in the filtration building.

Pumps and thickeners for the pulp feed station, compressor station, cooling towers, process and raw water feed stations, as well as the central control center located in the administrative building are being put into operation at the same time.

It is especially worth noting that the launch of the equipment was accompanied by multiple load tests, which confirmed its readiness for operation.

A landmark event was the obtaining of the first copper concentrate on March 30 of this year, which was sent to the copper smelting plant for further processing. Commissioning work and a gradual transition to full capacity operation are currently ongoing.

Copper Concentrator plant-3 is of strategic importance for the industry of Uzbekistan as it will contribute to increasing the production of copper, molybdenum and other valuable metals, as well as strengthening the country's export potential.
