+998 71 619 23 33Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex (AMMC) has been steadily strengthening transparency and anti-corruption controls across its operations – digitizing systems for financial oversight, procurement transparency, competition-law compliance, and fairer HR management. Building on this work, AMMC has now upgraded its anti-corruption management system and received a new international certificate.
The certificate confirms compliance with ISO 37001:2025, the international standard for anti-bribery management systems, developed by the International Organization for Standardization to help companies prevent, detect, and address corruption. It was formally presented to AMMC's leadership, marking a new step in the company's commitment to transparency and international trust.
This certification gives AMMC a competitive edge in global markets, including the London Metal Exchange and the EU, where transparent, low-corruption-risk companies find it easier to attract preferential financing and direct investment. It also improves AMMC's standing on ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) criteria and strengthens internal financial risk controls.
Unlike Uzbekistan's national rating system, which mainly reflects the transparency of domestic government bodies, ISO 37001:2025 is recognized worldwide. It's based on 32 strict international criteria and verified through an independent two-stage on-site audit – carrying far more weight with foreign investors and multinational partners than a local rating would.
AMMC is the first industrial enterprise in Uzbekistan to earn this certification, underscoring its leadership not just in production and technology, but in corporate governance and transparency as well.
