Cooperation has been established between the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Plant and a number of higher education institutions, within the framework of which students undergo industrial practice in the structural divisions of the plant.
During the internship, special attention must be paid to students' compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
In order to ensure the safety of interns, seminars are held in the structural divisions of the plant based on the schedule "Conducting seminars for students and pupils of higher and vocational educational institutions undergoing industrial internship in the divisions of AMMC", approved by the chief engineer of the plant.
The seminars, which began on July 11, are held for students and pupils undergoing industrial internship in such divisions as the central repair and mechanical plant, the Kalmakyr mine administration, the industrial rail transport administration, the automobile and technological transport administration, the specialized repair work administration, the copper processing plant, the copper processing plant-2, the copper smelter, the zinc plant, the Olmalikmetallurgkurilish trust, the Kauldy mine, the Chadak, Angren and Khandizinsky mine administrations.
The classes are conducted by responsible persons and specialists of the Occupational Health and Safety Department of AMMC.
At the enterprises, the engineers of the Occupational Health and Safety Department conduct introductory briefings with the interns. It is also monitored whether the interns are assigned to experienced specialists and whether they have passed the knowledge test.
During the seminars, the importance of studying methods of safe work performance in production, obtaining theoretical knowledge and practical skills was also noted. The importance of strict compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Rules was also emphasized.
