A delegation of 20 deputies of the Kengash (Council) of People's Deputies of the Andijan region visited the city of Almalyk in the Tashkent region, where they got acquainted with the work of the local city Kengash of People's Deputies.

Accompanied by Abdurashid Altiyev, Head of the Administration of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, and Sayora Fayzieva, Chairman of the Tashkent Regional Kengash of People's Deputies, the Andijan deputies also visited the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex. The guests were greeted by Senator Abdulla Khursanov, Chairman of the Management Board of Almalyk MMC JSC.

The tour started at the “Metallurg” Hall of Culture. At the entrance the guests' attention was already drawn to a large panel, which depicted the great ancestors of our people with subtle artistic style. Later, when they looked round the exhibits of the archaeological museum and got acquainted with the powerful production chain of the complex, they got a better understanding of AMMC, one of the key enterprises of the domestic economy.

From the observation deck of the Kalmakyr mine, deputies watched the work of giant excavators loading ore into dump trucks. They saw clearly how large-scale and intensive the activities at the mine are.

Thereafter, they visited the construction site of the Copper Concentrator Plant-3.

The tour ended with a visit to the engineering school, where the deputies got acquainted with modern methods of advance training of specialists. They visited laboratories, a welding site and a process workshop, where they were able to assess the level of training of future engineers.
