02 March 2026, 8:47 311

On the eve of International Women’s Day, as part of the “Month of Honoring Women” taking place at the AMMC, a competition called “Bahor Guldastalari” (“Spring Bouquets”) was held at the zinc plant.

Representatives from eight of the enterprise workshops took part in the creative competition – one participant from each division.

In the first stage, the contestants answered test questions on the history of Uzbekistan. The second stage was dedicated to demonstration of national traditions and cultural heritage: participants read poetry, performed numbers using national musical instruments, shared impressions of the books they had read, and presented their creative works.

Following the competition, winners were determined in various categories. Thus, the kiln shop crane operator Dilafruz Rustamova was nominated the “Most Cheerful”. Electrolyte shop operator Dilnoza Riskulova was recognized as the “Most Energetic”. Razalia Yagafarova, a work distributor for the specialized repair section, was recognized in the “Most Intelligent” category, and Dilshoda Khudayberdieva, a leaching shop operator, received the award in the “Most Elegant” category. Workshops cleaner Dilafruz Abduvalieva won the “Most Charming” award, cadmium shop operator Sitora Djumaeva won the “Most Talented” award, chemical analysis lab technician Aziza Rakhmatillaeva won the “Most Gifted” award, and sulfuric acid shop work distributor Dilnavoz Abduvakhobova was awarded the “Most Insightful” title.

The participants were presented with diplomas and commemorative gifts from the plant management and the AMMC Workers’ Trade Union Council.
