The launch of the first stage of the Copper Processing Plant-3 during the visit of our esteemed President to JSC “Almalyk MMC” on 16 March this year is a great honor and a high responsibility for us. This historical event marked a new stage in the development of the industry not only of our team, but also of our entire country.

Today, Copper Processing Plant-3 is not an ordinary production facility, but rather a strategic center of the emerging “copper cluster”.

The strategic importance of the plant is obvious, first of all, in its socio-economic impact. After the project reaches full production capacity, more than 4 thousand new jobs will be created. Most importantly, the majority of these jobs will be for local young people with modern knowledge and skills.

At the same time, the plant has a capacity to process 60 million tons of ore per year, resulting in the production of about 900 thousand tons of copper concentrate. More than 166 thousand tons of copper, as well as gold, silver and other precious non-ferrous metals, are extracted from this concentrate and continuously supplied to the next stage – the Copper Smelter.

The advantage of Copper Processing Plant-3 is determined not only by its production capacity, but also by its high technological level and modern automated systems. The single integrated technological complex has been created at the plant based on equipment from the world's leading companies – Metso Outotec, FLSmidth, PAO Uralmashzavod, Weir Minerals and Siemens.

In particular, the HPGR technology significantly reduces energy consumption and increases processing efficiency. Modern flotation and filtration equipment ensure the production of high-quality concentrate. All the production processes are monitored and controlled in real time using the Siemens PCS 7 and AVEVA PI Vision platforms.

At the same time, based on the priority tasks set by our President, we have set ourselves and our team clear and responsible strategic goals.

In particular, ensuring energy efficiency, rational and efficient use of resources, consistently increasing production efficiency, and further expanding the export potential of our country have been identified as priority tasks.

By the end of 2026, clear plans have been developed to gradually increase the production capacity, process 20 million tons of ore by putting the process lines into stable operation, produce more than 288 thousand tons of copper concentrate, and ensure its uninterrupted and stable supply to the Copper Smelter.

At the same time, our ultimate goal is complete launch of operation of the factory and bring it to its design capacity by the end of this year.

In addition, the task was set to consistently increase the level of localization of reagents, consumables and spare parts used in production processes, and significantly reduce the cost of products through the effective use of alternative and innovative solutions.

The main tasks were also set as the main plan for establishing coherent and effective cooperation with higher education institutions, harmonizing the dual education system with industrial requirements, and targeted training of highly qualified engineering and technical personnel with modern knowledge and competencies and their wide involvement in production.

We will also implement specific tasks aimed at bringing efficiency, stability and management accuracy to a new level through the full digitalization of production processes, the wide introduction of automated control systems, and in-depth analysis and optimization of production processes based on artificial intelligence.

We responsibly accept the high trust placed in us and fully justify it through practical results, high labor productivity and our worthy contribution to strengthening the economic power of our Motherland.
