From Knowledge to Practice: AMMC Strengthens Cooperation with Cyber University

In recent years, the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex has consistently developed cooperation with educational institutions and study of advanced practices. This work not only contributes to increased production efficiency but also to the training of qualified specialists capable of modern thinking and work confidently with digital technologies.

As part of this initiative, representatives from the state university “Cyber​University” recently visited the Complex.

The guests visited the observation site of the Kalmakyr mine and the copper processing plant No. 3.

For information: The State University “Cyber University” was established on the basis of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PP-14 dated January 20, 2025. The university trains specialists in areas such as information and cybersecurity, digital technologies, artificial intelligence, computer engineering, digital economics, management, and jurisprudence. In the 2025/2026 academic year, more than 1,200 students were admitted to the university.

During the visit, university representatives visited the plant control center, where they learned about the digital solutions used in production processes, automation systems, and digital transformation projects being implemented at the enterprise.

Shukhrat Kayumov, Rector of the State University “Cyber University”:

- Today, close interaction between education and production is one of the most important factors in the training of competitive talents in demand by modern industry. The visit of “Cyber University” representatives to the plant is also intended to strengthen cooperation in the area of combining of theoretical knowledge with practical experience and training of prospective specialists.
