In recent years, global demand for copper has grown significantly, and, according to international experts, this trend will continue in the coming decade. In this regard, the investment attractiveness of AMMC, the largest copper producer in Uzbekistan, continues to grow, which increases the interest of foreign partners.

Thus, on February 26, AMMC was visited by a delegation of representatives of the mining and manufacturing industry of the Czech Republic. The guests expressed interest in establishing cooperation.

During the meeting with the management of the complex, the possibilities of joint production of equipment to increase industrial capacity, as well as the implementation of joint projects within the framework of the Localization Program, were discussed.

For information: The Czech Republic is a country in Central Europe with developed fuel and energy and ferrous metallurgy, chemical, mechanical engineering, light and food industries. The country produces coal, iron ore, graphite and kaolin. Czech companies are interested in investing in the mining industry of Uzbekistan. Today, mechanical and electrical equipment, medicines, ferrous metals and products made from them are imported from the Czech Republic to our country.

As part of the visit, the delegation visited the observation deck of the “Kalmakyr” mine, where open-pit mining is carried out.

- Today we visited Almalyk for the first time and visited your enterprise. The scale of your enterprise made a great impression on us. I am sure that in the future, partnership relations between Czech and Uzbek companies will only strengthen, - noted Petr Jurcik, an employee of the Trade and Economic Department of the Czech Embassy in Uzbekistan.

During the visit, the parties also agreed on the further development of bilateral cooperation and the launch of new joint projects.
